'People are intimidated' - the reasons 'juggernaut' Arsenal are the side to defeat.

There's little doubt why Arsenal stand as numerous fans' favorites to secure the Premier League in the current campaign.

Consider their results against Fulham and Crystal Palace in contrast with those same matches in the previous campaign.

The Gunners have defeated all of them during this campaign, but surrendered 10 points across those games as they faded in the title race previously.

Defensive Strength

Arsenal's backline resilience is a primary factor why they are looking well positioned to at last realize their title ambition.

They stand first for unbreached games (6), goals allowed (3), opposition efforts (72), dangerous chances allowed (19) and expected goals against (5.3).

The defensive partnership of Gabriel and William Saliba is arguably the best in the league, with Arsenal keeping a clean sheet in six of their first nine games.

Dead-Ball Superiority

Their threat from set-pieces is highly documented, but competing clubs still struggle to stop the Gunners from these opportunities.

They have notched 11 times from set-pieces in the league, two more than any other side, with 69% of their goals originating from these situations.

"Arsenal can do a bit of everything now. The whole team has a fear factor. People are just afraid of them and it is excellent to see."

Title Claims

What is especially remarkable about Arsenal's start to the campaign is they have also played Manchester United, Liverpool and Newcastle United on the road and Manchester City at home - and are still ahead by four points at the top.

While they maintain victories, their traditional rivals aren't faring so well. This marks the initial occasion at this stage of the season since 1992 that none of Manchester City and United, Liverpool or Chelsea are in the Premier League top four.

The pressure was on boss Mikel Arteta at the outset, having allocated around £250m on eight summer acquisitions in pursuit of that long-awaited first title since 2004.

But the spending has so far paid off in impressive fashion, with his side among the highest scorers in the league and boasting the strongest defense, despite multiple injuries.

  • Shutouts in three straight Premier League games
  • Nearly 6.5 hours without letting in a goal
  • Only a trio of goals in 12 games across all competitions

Former players and pundits have characterized Arteta's men as a "juggernaut, looking challenging to stop" with the whole club now performing with belief and resolve.
